Sync 3 issue

Featured Replies

Hi guys, recently purchased focus titanium. Registered 2019. Have added ford app to phone and it says sync 3 has an update.  Have spoken to ford who want to charge me £95+ to install update. Is there any other way of doing it myself without using a flash drive. Can I update of my phone.

If the car was registered in 2019 then it is still under warranty and software updates are free from the dealer. There is an update over wifi option in the automatic updates section of settings. If you are in range of wifi or have a large data allowance on your phone you can do it that way but it will take around a week for all the maps assuming you have navigation. It is much easier to do it with a good quality usb stick yourself.

take a look at cyanlabs

Yes, follow instructions on Ford UK website and update using a flash pen
