Air con issue

Hi guys, I've had my 2014 focus for about 2 years now, the air con didn't work when I got it but I assumed it had just been down to not being used enough, I had it gassed and it worked great.

Few weeks later it was back to square one, I had it looked over in an air con specialised garage and they told me they couldn't find any external leaks. They told me the next step would be stripping the dash down which they aren't equipped to do, I've looked for air con diagrams to see which pipes go where in relation to the dash so I won't have to strip the full thing but haven't found anything useful.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance

It's probably the seals in the pump that have failed due to it not being used.

Would that cause the uv dye to not show up?

I'm betting the condenser is leaking. 90%of the time it's that. As someone else said take it somewhere who know what there doing.

Good advice, there are loads of proper A/C specialists. The 4 main culprits are 1) Condenser 2) compressor 3) dried out seals causing leak 4) corroded pipe causing leak. A competent firm will be able to properly diagnose.
