Bonnet catch bolts

Featured Replies

So, as many before me have I’ve had to change the lock on the bonnet of my mk2.5 focus.

Stupidly I’ve managed to lose one of the bolts that hold the latch to the body. Does anyone have the size of the bolt or the part number?

Local dealer weren’t very helpful when I tried to order it from them.

That's odd as they should have full access to an exploded diagram of the latch and how it attaches to the car. From memory, I believe the bolt 'head' is 10mm, but better wait for some other confirmation.. (On mine, I have had to replace the latch once, and the Bowden cable twice - sh*t design!)

Looking online gives finis number 1473806 - from memory it’s a 10mm head but a coarse thread like a self-tapper as it goes into the plastic front slam panel.

it’s clearly shown on the diagram for the bonnet, not that hard to find if the dealer made an effort.

Can't you just take the other one (not the one you lost) with you to the shop or dealer and they can come out with one the same?
