Sync 3 Map Update Issue

I have downloaded the map update files from the Ford website for my Fiesta. I have followed the instructions to the letter and it has confirmed on the screen that the first part of the update has been completed. It then says to restart the engine at my convenience to complete the second part. I followed the instructions to complete a key cycle but when it detects the update again it starts with a system software update again for a couple of minutes and then asks me to start the engine as above. It will not start the second part of the Sync Map update which it states will take 45 - 60 minutes t complete. Please help. Thanks.

I know you will find this difficult to believe but Ford are talking B0ll0cks.

Do not do the key cycle - just ignor the on screen request and do nothing. Leave the USB in the car and about 15 minutes later it will finish.

Switch off, take the USB out of the car, get out and lock the doors. Wait at least 10 minutes, before getting back in and restarting the car, after a couple of minutes the new updates will be active.

Best answer is to forget the Ford update (more than half the time it never works) and start again and download from Cyan-Labs. It's the 100% Ford software, normally far more up to date than the Ford site and it always installs and works.
