Expanding door trims

Hello. 1st time on this forum. Had my puma st line X vignale 155 manual since September last year. 2020.75 model. Absolutely delighted. Last month during the hot spell the rear driver side door, when opened, started striking the closed driver's door. At my dealer they hadn't seen this before so I gave them a video the second time it happened. (40 miles from dealer). Since then Ford put out a recall for all ST Lines but not vignales. My car is outside the build date for the problem so at the moment it's not a warranty job for an obvious design / build fault. The dealer is doing the recall repair and not going to charge. It involves fixing a spacer near to the back door hinge with super glue. I've been in touch with ford to resolve this problem but they are dragging their heels. It's booked in next Wednesday for job but for all I know it may be next year before we get warm enough weather to replicate the problem.

UPDATE : total of 12 mins. to check car and glue spacer in place. A "L" shaped bit of plastic. Each leg of the L about 1 cm long, half cm wide and a couple of millimetres thick. Some ST Lines are having a recall but only when they go for a service or unless there is a complaint about the fault. (won't happen in normal UK temps). They all have to fall in a short build time scale during 2020. Ford are contacting me to see if I'm satisfied with the repair. I've already told them we won't know until next summer provided the temps. are high enough. Just for everyone's info in case they come across the same

UPDATE. Rise in temperature yesterday and today and Ford's 'fix' has failed. In fact it is worse with the paint on the edges of the two doors scraped off. Reported to Ford again. I have also escalated my side by reporting to the CEO. A customer service centre person hung up while I was reporting the fault. 2nd call back to them they apologised so now waiting to see what happens next. Customer services diabolical.

It's not called "Customer Services"  - it's proper name is "CFOS" which doesn't stand for what your thinking ! [Customer Fob Off Service] 🤣
