I noticed there's a new Maps update from the Ford site: https://www.ford.co.uk/owner/resources-and-support/sync-bluetooth/update#/

Can't get it to download, take sages and eventually states an error has occurred.  Tried it on multiple devices / networks, same thing.

Anybody else seeing problems?

Yes, several other people are having problems, including myself. It isn't going to work until Ford fix it at their end, they are aware of the problem.

I've just been told that some updates on the Ford site have been 'Greyed Out' for some models and give a message that the update is not available.

It seems that there are many issues with the Ford Sync3 sofware at the present moment which is effecting a good many models, Focus, Fiesta, Kuga, most seem to be in the age range of 2017 - 2019.

I’ve been trying to download the new maps since last Sunday.

 

I now cannot even access the Ford website - maybe I’ve been banned 🙂

The only way I got it downloaded was to use a ethernet cable. However its taking forever to get into car via USB. Tried for over an hour this morning but gave up..

checked mine and it says there is an update available but after an hour gave up as it did not seem to want to down load, but it was only connected to the internet via WiFi

So you can access the Ford website, I can’t even get the website to load, let alone request a download.

checked the car this morning and update done, dated as of yesterday and no more updates available, I thought when the ignition was off everything stopped we it seams not as I sat in the car for over half and hour with the ignition on but no engine running and the progress bar on the screen did not move thats why I did not think it was doing anything, yet to find out what was updated.

The system usually tells you it's been updated after the key cycle has been completed.

Just bought my car the other week, managed to update Sync 3 but got exactly the same result as you when I tried to download the maps, the file size is a bit of a monster right enough, from what I can see it's about 28GB

Wow.....Im able to download it today!
