How do I undo the central locking when the battery is flat? I have used the key to open the driver’s door but need to open the passenger door to operate the bonnet opening lever.

If you have a look in your Handbook it is explained there with pictures. You will need a small screwdriver and a suitable sized Socket or Spanner.

As @Tizer says it tells you how you are supposed to do it in the handbook. You have to dismantle the bonnet release handel using a screwdriver and then a socket to turn the nut while stretched out over the top of the centre console from the drivers side working almost upside down, OR you climb over the cetre console in to the passenger side then bend yourself double and reach down using your left hand and remove the handel and fit your spanner.

Its a fantastic bit of engineering and well thought out by the design team at Ford who are mostly 12 year olds and who are generally thin and can fit in to small space. Of course this stupidity only happens or RHD cars. Things could be worse you could have a Tesla with a flat battery, just ask James May !
