Engine mounts issues

Featured Replies

I'm having an issue replacing the engine mounts on a 2013 Ford ranger wildtrak 3.2 dtci, I purchased a set of newer mounts after being advised the newer ones would definitely fit, having removed the old mount from the subframe, I can't get the new mount to locate in its positioning hole, the pin on the newer one is longer, however, in the same location and the same diameter, so I don't see why it won't fit, also, do I need to swap the aluminium bracket on the engine for one off a newer model to? As the mount, if I did somehow manage to get the locating pin to go in, would sit about 10mm higher than the original one, I've spoken to the guy who sold me the mounts again and he is adament they will fit and that I would just need some washers for the pin that connects the 2 parts together as the new one is thinner, any help would be much appreciated, I need this truck back on the road yesterday 😢😢
