2021 ranger heated seats

Featured Replies

So I'm new here and this me reaching out for some information / advice.

In July I took delivery of a new Wildtrak to replace my 2018 model. The heated seats in my 2018 model where very good however the same cannot be said about the 2021 model.

Today the car has been back to the dealer and basically they say there is nothing wrong.

All I can tell you is they just do not get hot, I would best describe it as mild warmth to the point you forget / don't really notice they are on.

Has anyone else noticed or experienced this? Does anyone have a answer why they are like this?

Hi. I have a 2021 Ranger Lariat. Here in New York State it gets quite cold in winter. The heated seats in my Ranger get so warm I find myself switching them down to stage #2, sometimes even #1.

Hi I have a 2021 wildtrak also and I'm concerned about the heated seats, I have been back to Ford 4 times, 3rd visit was for a new heating element? 4th was to solve the new element not making any difference, collected truck today all the same. My last 2 vehicles seat got so hot I had to turn them down or off, the wildtrak heated seats get mildy warm at best. Will be calling dealership tomorrow.

It's all about emissions and saving power. True your new heated seats may fail to get hot  but they use almost no power.

The new 2022 model has had the headlights replaced with a couple of candles, the lights not so good but they don't use any battery power 🤣

I'm afraid we are in for a lot more of this save the planet b0locks in the next few years.

I have since been back to the dealership

Sat in x3 new ranger wildtraks

All 2021 model same as mine

Engine started seats on full power, they all get to a mild warmth and that's it

There is no hot to the touch just warm

I bought this new vehicle with leather and heated seats due to a bad back, honestly I would have not picked ford had I known this. Now I'm back to heated wheat bags from the microwave when my back is sore. Very disappointed.

Stormtrak 2021

Agree

I have not used the heated seat function much but when I have  they were not that hot compared to other cars I have owned. They have most likely lowered the temp of the seats to conserve the batery charge level. If the battery is just slightly down on charge it will prevent the Stop Start from operating. Short journeys and heated seats not a good combination. I had Ranger Rover previously and the low battery warning light kept coming on. Resulting in having to charge the battery every two or three months and one of the reasons I got rid of such an expensive car with a constant warning light.

I am enjoying my Ranger and think I will put up with mildly hot seats
