larger tyres to fill the arches

I have 195 55 16 wheels on my fusion at the mo and was wondering what would be a good size 16" tyre i could fit to fill the wheel arches out a bit ? thanks

The short answer is you can't. By increasing the circumference of the wheel, your speedo will read lower than your actual speed.

If you want to close your arch gap you're best lowering the car.

And if you fit anything with a bigger circumference you are likely to have problems with the tyres rubbing on something  when you turn the steering

As you've increased the width, you'll also increase the profile which will affect the speedo. The profile is a percentage of the width, so 55% of 205 will be more than 55% of 195 (hence the increase in circumference).
