Ye olde washer pump motor

Well, my washers didn't work. Checked fuses 77 & 82 and they were both ok... got slightly side tracked by a test light that only worked intermittently, so made a test light with a brake bulb (21W) and two wires- puts a useful 2A load on a circuit

Anyhoo, the motor is u/s.

So i took it to pieces to see what fails....

In summary: EVERYTHING!!!

Rust everywhere, commutator worn out, brush worn out, brush spring snapped...it's a mess.

So, if you can't hear your motor, font even try... just swap it out

....oh and I got it changed by reaching down after taking the headlight out... bumper still in place
