I have a 2017 ford ranger Wildtrak just lately it’s started make a whistling noise on acceleration it usually stops at higher rpms and doesn’t do it all the time, the noise level Varys from time to time my best guess is a air leak somewhere but having a hard time tracking anything down, any ideas what it could be ?

Hi Mate, I am new on here had my 3.2 about 4 weeks and just noticed same sort of noise did you find out what it was TIA

Good chance it’s one of the intercooler hoses split or leaking somewhere.

looking for somewhere in UK that do silicone hoses, anyone know who do these

Our nephew (in Austria) is having the same problem with his 2018 Ford Ranger Wildtrack with a 3.2L Duratorq-TDCi . The whistling noise only happens while going up hill while (stomping) pushing hard the gas pedal. We couldn't make it whistle going down hill stomping on the gas. A light gas foot pedal does NOT make it whistle...A local shop said it might be the exhaust manifold (but I question that) WHO has any answers? We recorded it this event.

Anyone figure this out at all? My 2017 Wildtrak is whistling too. On partial throttle a constant whistle and a kind of wolf whistle when i lift off the throttle after being on boost. Could this be something to do with the boost recirculating valve sticking possibly.
