Make sure you change the headlamp bulbs back to the originals for your MOT.

As the car wasn’t built with LED’s it’ll fail it’s MOT!

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

Did you change fog lights or headlights or both? As mentioned above retro fitting HID or LED Bulbs should fail an MOT.

4.1.4 Headlamps - Compliance with requirements -  'Existing halogen headlamp units should not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp.'

However I don't know if that applies to fog lamps. Actually a yellow light gives better visibility in heavy rain or fog. A white LED may not be the best in Fog.

If your MOT was before March 2021 it wasn’t an issue but they’ve changed the rules after March!

All bulbs changed on the front and last MOT in July 2021. No issues. Maybe use a none Ford garage for your MOT. So long as the beam is OK, then they most likely don't know it is not standard.

I can confirm that a white LED is useless in fog, I changed the 'fog' lights in a Merc to nice crisp white LEDs, (using them as pseudo DRLs) and in fog, may as well have held a candle out the window LOL

Is that to the front fog-lamps?

I'm sure about the legality of retro-fitting LED fog lights, plus it has been mentioned above bright white fog lights are poor in fog, yellow is best. You can actually buy 'selective yellow' (halogen) bulbs for the purpose. I'm sure you can buy LED Bulbs which are both and can change between white and yellow too. I'm nut sure what make they are though.

The OP may or may not answer, he was last on the Forum a year ago.
