Dead battery

Hi guys,

I know there are a few threads on this but I'm trying to find out if we have the right battery

After 2 weeks of not using the car, it was flat this morning, had to use the manual fob and jump start it.

However looking at other threads, our battery seems different.  Ours is a SLI 60Ah, 590A (see pic).

Others seem to have a EFB type?

The car is a 2020 1.0 125ps mild hybrid vignale.

Thanks

Neil

I would assume as you have mild hybrid engine , the battery Wouldnt need to be an efb version. Stop start won't be putting strain on the battery unlike the non hybrid.

You learn something new every day, so in Mhev variants does the 48V battery under the drivers seat power the starter motor?

Initial cold start the normal starter uses the 12 v battery but after wards the generator/starter uses the 48v battery to start the engine. Also the 48v battery supply's 12v power to run ancillaries when engine stops ( stop start) stopping 12v battery drain .
