Fiesta windscreen seal

Hi

Can any-one please advise me - I have a 2001 Fiesta Zetec S and recently noticed a gap in the seal around the windscreen (in the centre at the bottom) , which appears to be letting water in. I have temporaily covered the gap with tape and was going to try filling it using a tube of silicone sealant. Do Fiestas of this age have some sort of rubber stopper or gromit in the seal around the windscreen and could I buy a relacement? Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks

The seal is a complete one piece loop around the glass.  Depending on the size of the gap, I would certainly try some silicon sealer befor taking it to a Windscreen specialist.

Thanks for your comment. It’s a reasonably small gap, so I’ll certainly try some silicone sealant 🤞
