Hi I have a 2017 7seat grand cmax with sliding doors. The seals on the rear side windows have split am sure this is a design or quality flaw but Ford say they cannot just change the seals they have to replace the whole window at a cost of £330 each. Just cannot afford to take a £660 hit at the moment wondered if anyone had any solutions

Have just noticed this on my 2016 grand c-max brought a month ago. I will have a look during the week to see if there is something that can be made up with some general seal and stuck in with some sikaflex sealant or something similar. I’m not sure that it needs to be there as such as it looks like the window is sealed. More cosmetic? I may be wrong, but haven’t noticed any leaks.

Have the same on my C max and looking for a solution rather than replace both rear side windows.  Seems like a quality issue when made. tried sticking the rubber back but still the same naff result.

Try contacting Ford as a group,

may have a better result, 4 cars of same age with same fault does suggest seals may be defective.
