Got this unit installed to replace my old smaller nav unit. It won’t let me stream BT music but my old one did, so the module is good… let’s me do handsfree calls just no music… tried all settings in forscan and elmconfig no luck? Any help thanks

You have the wrong bluetooth module. Early BT modules did not support music streaming they were only for phone calls. you need to replace it with a newer unit.

How do you update the firmware module? I have replaced my old unit to this 8M5T-19C112-AT, but cannot get USB or BT streaming to work.

Thanks for the help here, I managed to update it after a first failure. It now has the USB option. It reads and plays but there is no sound. I have set it up in ELMconfig and Forscan. the cd and radio work but no output from USB or no streaming yet.

More digging needed. I have the AM unit.
