2019 Rear Prop Shaft

Featured Replies

My vehicle is just approaching its 3 years so I put it in for its MOT not expecting any problems. To my surprise the MOT centre informed me that it had failed, and it was too dangerous to drive. They advised that the rear propshaft was in a poor condition and about to fail! The Ford dealers have since confirmed this stating the bearing has completely gone. The mileage over the 3 years is only 40,000 so not a great deal of usage.

My vehicle is now off the road until its repaired, with an estimated delivery of the spares required being week beginning 3rd October.

Just to add insult to my sick Ranger, DVLA have had my drivers licence for 2 months for my HGV renewal, and cannot advise when it will be returned, I cannot get a courtesy vehicle, or hire vehicle replacement because I don't have the physical licence to show them.

That's very bad news. I assume that the vehicle is still under warranty (Just !).

and the DVLA are just a complete joke. If they worked any slower they would be Nationalised  🤣

Yes, luckily I put it in for its MOT before the 3 year point so covered under warranty. I did joke with DVLA when the advised my application will be in someones 'In Tray' - Told them that probably why there's a delay as all the staff are still working from home 😂😂
