VIN No. help

Hi All

I have tomorrow as the second build date for my new Fiesta. My dealer has given me the last 10  letters and numbers of my Vin No. but not the first 6. He is away this week so can't contact him. My last two Fiesta ecoboosts Vin No. have started WF0JXX so am assuming this one will be the same. Any Fiesta 2022  owners out there who would be kind enough to check their first 6 letters and number and let me know if my assumption is correct.

Thanks

John

If you want to PM me what you think the complete VIN is then I'd be happy to check the system and see if it is correct.

Hi All

So I have been through all the combinations the xxx part of a VIN No. ie WF0AXX through To WF0ZXX. The only one that came up with anything was WF0JXX.

According to ETIS this is what comes up.  Fiesta 2017 -, PUMA 2.0L TC E/W I4 DSL 90PS, Blue Metallic.

Since when has Ford been fitting 2.0L diesel engines to Fiestas?  Off to the dealers this afternoon to see what the hell is happening.

Some are S, E and D too, I tried all the variations on ETIS too, I do wonder if the wrong engine code has been put into ETIS and the one I found (with the 2.0L engine) is in fact the correct one. @jsk what did they tell you the build date was?

@ianttthe 2.0 puma/fiesta 🤷‍♂️ was WF0JXX

Using the pics you kindly shared and knowing the last of the VIN he has been provided with I have been able to decide the full VIN.

It is the one that matches the Fiesta 2017- with Puma 2.0 90PS engine. So either the dealer has given the incorrect digits, or ETIS has been updated incorrectly.

The model, colour, spec and transmission match the order sheet on ETIS but the engine is incorrect.

Hopefully the dealer can check again when he returns.

Hi again Jon

Not much from the dealer his computer just says it entered factory 23/11/2022. I am pretty sure this is my car going on the minor features and what I ordered. ETIS showing Build date 23/11/2022. I am pretty certain wrong engine code. I also think it has been built as FordPass recognises it. The module that links to FordPass must have had power to it at some point. Dealer computer also showed it as waiting which I think those on the Focus forum often find if it is awaiting an item that has not been fitted during build. After waiting this long a few more weeks won't matter. Just thought, if it has got a 2.0L engine fitted it would be quite unique and worth a few bob on the open market.

I think you may be right, it's early days yet though so ETIS may still get updated correctly in due course. I would imagine the 2.0 lump wouldn't be something that would just drop into the fiesta body shape.

Moto of this thread is don't trust etis anymore as it's being phased out for PTS.

PTS shows the correct info, and with 1.0 ecoboost engine.

Another question about ETIS and my car. Last time I checked with dealer he agreed it has been built as we already know but no delivery date but in waiting. Checking ETIS I have noticed a difference in the software section. Under (Installed a new Module), PSCM is blank. Under (service Functions) DCDC is blank but PSCM is filled. Under (Configuration) BECM, DCDC & PSCM are blank.

If I then go to the Summary section of the Software section it shows all Modules as fitted and giving their Description, Assembly Part No., Software Part No. & Last checked with time and date.

So am I correct in thinking everything module wise has been fitted and checked and ignore the (Installed a new Module) section as incorrect or not updated correctly?

I personally don't look at all that software details, they are rarely correct until the car has left the line. You'd think that one system would update all sections but that's not the case - as we saw with the engine.

And with Ford winding down ETIS it's less likely to be updated as efficiently now.

Hi all

Had an email from UKCRC1 this morning saying that my car is at Dagenham and delivery date to dealer should have been yesterday but owing to bad weather had been delayed (yet another delay) but they did say they have asked for it to be put on the priority list. Hopefully should get it early January complete with a 1L ecoboost engine not a diesel. It seems to have been a long wait with many alterations and delays from my original order for a Vignale back in April.
