alz
Just a quick one, has anyone change their fan belt on a 05 1.8 TDCI. the mk1 focus had a nut on the adjuster pulley, this one as not, how can I move this adjuster so that I can fit a new belt, the old ones were so easy to do..(just like ford to make an easy job that bit harder). Alz.

artscot79
It looks like no one knows, a trip to ford for me to find some info.. im sure i read there was a special tool that goes on the tensioner or around it to release the pressure on the belt
DAS
i think it just uses a bolt screwed in to the tensioner which takes the tension off, i dont know what size the bolt is but the finis code is 4413741. thats if it applies to your engine. you would screw it in to a threaded bit at the rear of the tensioner and it pushes against a lug. hope this is helpful.
