Why cant i get E5 petrol

Hi everyone ive been trying to get E5 petrol for my car for about a week now and every petrol station ive tried are sold out and dont know when theyl be getting any more in. I live in North Wales but its not rural where i live and i can always get E5 when i go to any Shell, Esso or Bp garage and even most Tescos. Ive not heard anything from the government and i havent seen anything on the news either. Ive got a mk 5 Escort Rs2000 which is desperately low on petrol and a 1990 Audi coupe as well. I have other cars that run on E10 which i can use but the cars that run on E5 need to be driven. Im getting worried now. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just where i live? Any information would be really helpful. Thanks from Ian!

You can buy bottles of additive that is supposed to deal with any issue if you can only get E10.

I forget what it's called, but I think you add about 50ml to a tank of petrol.

My local Tesco has been out of E5 for weeks on end several times in the last year.

A couple of tank fulls of E10 won't kill it, it's long use that does.

Fill it up and get some additive for it
