2020 Ford ranger no drive under engine revving

I pulled away from a set of traffic lights and after about 200yards there was no drive through the accelerator. The engine would rev as normal but no drive. The gears would freely move from park to reverse to drive no problem. I turned the engine off and started it again and again no problem selecting the gears. When I’m drive the engine would rev like normal but couldn’t pull away as if it was in neutral? AA came out disconnected the battery but no change. He said it was showing on his diagnostic machine that it could be a solenoid in the transmission????
