Ford Extended Warranty

Hi all

I'm very conscious of the big bills that might come my way, so I'm considering getting extended warranty.

The car has a performance filter so I'm wondering if I can still get warranty, as I read in the terms that if it's been modified or raced then claims will be rejected.

I also read it covers major things like transmission, engine, clutch etc. which sounds great. I'm already getting worried about the gearbox as I can hear a whiny sound mainly in 1st or 2nd, not sure if that's because of the supercharger or filter though. (first time driving anything over a 2litre)

Does anybody have any experience of the extended warranties with a Mustang or the Ford extended warranty ? if so is it worthwhile getting ?

Can anyone recommend alternatives to compare against ?

Can I ask Ford to assess the vehicle in person before I take any warranty with them, so I know they are happy to take it on and me hopefully having less to worry about come time to claim ?

Any advice is much appreciated.
