Piedade
Good morning, I am about to close a deal for a 2019 Ford Focus 1.5 Tdci STLine with 124,000 miles. It has all the revisions at Ford. Will it be a good buy? does it still do at least 70miles?
TomsFocus
Is that mileage a typo? 124k in 3 years is a huge amount. It'll never do 70mpg for short journeys (looking at your location) but should still do around 55-60mpg average.
Piedade
I wanted to say if the car still does 70k miles more 😅

It'd have to be incredibly cheap for me to even consider a 3 year old car on that mileage lol. Honest answer is no-one can say how long it'll last. Hopefully it's done most of that sat on the motorway so the clutch shouldn't be too bad. I'd expect the front end to be peppered with stone chips and the suspension will be starting to sag a bit, possibly a bit of leakage on the shocks. Cambelt will be overdue on mileage if not already replaced.
Piedade
yes mostly on freeways and the Cambelt has already been replaced.

It uses the newer (more expensive) R1234yf gas if it does need to be regassed.
Piedade
If the problem is just the air conditioning then I'm quite happy 😄
