Hi all really hoping someone can help, recently bought a s-max (08 plate 7 seater). It's having trouble le cranking over and starting but eventually does if given time or pushed.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or any tips what could be wrong?

When we bought it the guy said sometimes when it's cold he had to turn electrics on, turn them off then turn engine on?

Anyone else had a similar problem? Or know how to sort this?

Seen on one of the garage forms that they found a problem with the auxiliary heater draining the battery ( but I can't find the fuse for this )

Petrol, Diesel, or Pixie Dust ?

How many miles has it done and when was it's last full service ?

Use a laptop and download FORScan and read the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's).

Not equipment that is normally fitted to UK vehicles.

I was trouble shooting and you literally said everything I needed to hear.

Do you have the Pixie Dust model or the newer PBS ?
