Numerous warning / notification lights?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well?

I've got a 2019 Ford Ranger Wildtrack which has numerous warning lights & notifications (see below).
The vehicle has been to the garage a few times but the warning lights keep coming back and they have said they have changed sensors and realigned the steering?

Warning lights:

ABS WARNING LIGHT
STABILITY CONTROL

Notifications:

HILL DECENT CONTROL MALFUNCTION
ESC SERVICE REQUIRED
HILL START ASSIST
PARKING PILOT

Additional info: The vehicle struggles to start in cold weather, but no issues with the battery, say the garage.

These warning light and notifications come on in a random ways.
*They can come on first thing in the morning, then go off after a few miles driving or stay on until I reach my destination.
*They come on after driving for an hour or two and stay on.
*They come on after driving for a while then go off.
*No warning lights appear if the back is fully loaded or pulling a loaded trailer.

Contacting my local Ford garage it is going to take over 2 months before they can fit it in to look at it??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Also, anyone know of a good, reliable garage in the North East of England (Newcastle / Gateshead area preferred) that I can take it too and will get fixed.
Thanks again.

Iain

Get FORScan and a decent lead and read the codes

Thanks for the quick response.

I thought the garages would of done this to help identify and then fix the problem?

It's been to the garage 3 times and still not sorted.

Cheers

That's almost certainly just an ABS sensor at at fault.

Independent garages only use generic OBD scanners, they won't pick up Ford specific faults.  Either need a Ford garage or buy a Forscan adapter yourself.

Thanks for the info Tom, very helpful.

I've managed to booked the vehicle into a local Ford garage, but it's going to be around 8 weeks until seen. Hopefully they can sort it.

Thanks again 👍

If you got a compatible laptop or smartphone, you could probably get a Forscan adapter delivered before the bank holiday weekend.  Pays for itself with the first use!

Yeah I'm looking at them now.

Cheers 👍
