Ranger Tailgate Protection - Conflicting answers

Hi all, wonder if anyone can help here.

I am looking to buy the right tailgate protector for my 2022 Ranger Wildtrak, however I'm getting conflicting answers from Ford whether the one I can see on their website fits or not.

The one on the UK Ford Shop website (shop.ford.co.uk) - Product No. 2207827 says it will fit rangers from 2012 onwards and to further confirm this when I put in my registration number their system confirms it will fit too. However when I called my local dealership AND sent an email to the ford shop, they both said that it won't fit! Unfortunately there are some pictures of the protection strip on a ranger, but no measurements so I can't tell. I've also looked on Amazon and Ebay and the ones there don't really say whether there would be a problem either.

Has anyone bought this for their 2022 ranger and does it fit?
