Raynsranger
Hi again after resolving my adblue issue I am now looking at 2 other issues, I have a 3.2 2016 wildtrak auto 1st聽 On accelerating the engine is slow to decelerate, after accelerating I release the pedal and the engine sounds and feels like I am still accelerating for a split second but then gently drops to normal so has anybody else had this issue. I have recently changed the glow plugs and cleaned the intake manifold of soot but the issue started prior to this. 2nd After changing the plugs I now have open circuit on 2 plugs no.3 and no.5 but not sure if that was there before as I didn't do a code read, any ideas, I will say i may suspect yhe new plugs as when I fitted them the last plug on tightening the cable snapped out the top piece 馃サ. I then bought a plug the 拢16 Bosch one and the build quality was much better, the other plugs where Bosch but the cheaper type i think (ok you get what you pay for) so again anybody else had issues like this. That's normal on an auto, you need to wait for the torque converter to disengage
Raynsranger
Hi thanks for the response, and having only owned 1 auto Disco in the past i don't recall it being so pronounced as this feels a little long and also think it's only started in the last month or so. I stated a split second but it is actually more like almost 2 seconds on heavy acceleration, if this is normal then I probably just didn't notice it before and am now looking for faults as I've had a couple of minors. DaveT70
It's a Ford auto, they're not brilliant. Check the fluid is at the correct level (when warm and after running through all the gears) with the transmission in neutral, engine running. If you do top up, make sure you use the correct fluid If you're over 70,000 miles consider changing the fluid
Raynsranger
馃憤another task added to the list, still gets me out of babysitting the kids on the weekend. I'm at 90k so long over due but may farm it out to my friends garage looks so messy and why would they not fit a drain plug.聽 聽 8 hours ago, DaveT70 said: It's a Ford auto, they're not brilliant. I didn't fancy doing the full ford drain flush and change at the time but the box does feel a little smoother in changing so thanks for your help.
