mintalkin
it could be the swirl plates, it is a common problem the spindles that the swirl plates are attached to wear and then start to rattle,it has been known for a plate to get induced into the engine,so if you suspect they are rattling get them checked before the worst happens. mintalkin
unfortunatley the only way to check is to remove the manifold,it could have been a lazy tappet but if you have done an oil change with the correct grade of oil they should be ok.with noises one only suggest what might be wrong and without seeing the car its hard to give a definate answer. But wouldn't these tap all the time as I'm only getting noise when car is at running temperature
