Change speed display from mph to kph

I can’t find a way of changing the speed display on my 2023 Puma ST (Sync 3) from mph to kph for Continental driving. I’ve just picked up a motorway speeding ticket in France for failing to calculate accurately in my head the conversion of 90 kph to mph (55.4 I was doing 62).

Assuming you have the digital instrument cluster then it's a simple thing to change.

  • Press the menu button on the steering wheel (3 lines right hand side)
  • Go into display settings and then select speedometer kph instead of mph.

See owners handbook for details.

Similar procedure on Mk 8.5 Fiestas with digital instruments.

The screen doesn't display the full menu at once so you need to scroll up/down to see it all. I found the scroll function seems a bit "laggy" (on mine at least) so it took a while to find it.

Slightly confusingly the measurement units for the trip display - mpg to litres/km etc  - are changed via the Sync screen.

Digital dash was frustratingly laggy on the Mk4 Focus as well.  Shame they don't appear to have improved it since.
