billyboy
I've just done a F11 map update. 2hrs to download onto my PC and two hours to unzip to my usb stick, 1hr 20 mins to load onto the car satnav and 15 mins to download the log file onto the Ford website. It was a lot quicker this time as I have upgraded my broadband to fibre so 2hrs instead of 15hrs.to download. I would like to say it was a trouble free experience but I cannot it was quite stressful as usual and this was the third time that I've done it. unofix
Hi Bill, 2hrs to download onto your PC is quite typical (depends on connection and time of day). However I don't follow your next stage. 2hrs to unzip to my USB stick. That doesn't seem right. Even my old Windows 7 laptop only takes a very short while to transfer the files from the PC to the USB. What zip extraction programme are you using ? The main thing is you've managed to get it done, and with the F12 Maps being imminent any time soon you will be able to breeze though the next update. 👍

I'm running windows 11.
Paulius55
Wow, nearly 6 hours to install the very out of date F11 maps. That's painful. On a 2018 vehicle I would use CyanLabs and install F12 in less than 2 hours. Of course, F12 is out of date as well, just not so out of date as F11.
alexp999
Doesn't really seem like progress. Takes 10 seconds to update the map in my mum's Sync 2 Kuga, SD card out, new one in. Even my Dad's mazda uses a better system, take SD card out, plug it in to a computer to download new maps to the SD, plug it back in to the car.
