Mike Wickham
Hi all i am restoring a railway vehicle with a 1976 mk2 escort 1100 engine. I’m missing the dipstick and don’t seem to be able to find one from any of the normal parts providers. does anyone have on in there spares they are willing to let go. if not does anyone know the correct length for the 1100 dipstick, so I can make one up. thanks in advance
unofix
Here is some information taken from the 1968 Ford workshop manual. The 1100 engine in the Escort MK2 is almost identical to that of the 1970's Mk1 Escort. https://www.buysellcortina.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/17617-anyone-know-there-dipsticks/ 2733E 6752A (length 6.42 inches or 163mm) is for a 1968-70 Mk1 Escort 1100
Mike Wickham
Many thanks. The Mk2 engine I have, has the extended tube. So is a lot longer
