ade4lifeuk
Hi Ford Forum, My Galaxy has just packed up 2009 1.8itdci, towed to a garage as 3 people had told me the cam belt had gone which was only replaced in March!! Said garage have told me it's the wet belt that has gone amd will have to see what damage has been caused? Does this galaxy wf09lxn have both belts. Does this sound correct? Any help or advice would be great. Thank you
scudney
A cambelt and wet belt I wouldn't personally think so,more than likely a cambelt 🤔
DaveT70
1.8 TDCi has one dry belt. (I think) If you have an invoice for the belt change done in March, take the vehicle to them to rectify. If they refuse to rectify, go to trading standards
TomsFocus
1.8 TDCI has two belts. It has a dry belt at the top of the engine (the one you had replaced). And then either a wetbelt or a chain at the bottom of the engine (depending on build date).
