Unfortunately the sales link with pic has been removed as it's sold or reserved according to the dealer site- presume that's you? Hope all is still going well.

It's a nice car and she has bought it. Got a very good P?E price on her old car that wanted a lot of work. Paula seem to be make a full recovery from the stroke. Thanks for asking.

TomsFocus
Yes, that's 100% the later engine with cam chain. The oil pump belt is still recommended to be replaced at either 10 years or 150k miles. Also includes the elusive engine cover which Ford removed from Mk4's around 2020.

I'll warn her regarding the oil pump belt.

Make sure she owns a Smart charger "Maypole" seems to often get a mention here by someone 🤣 and show her how to connect it to the battery positive and the chassis earth point. I'm sure she will have many years of happy motoring in her new car 👍

I have a smart charger which she is welcome to if she needs it but, as she had never heard of stop/start I very much doubt if she'll be worried about it. She likes the car, as do I. It drives well and she's relieved to get a reliable car. She's a head teacher and needs to be at school by 7.30am and has a 25 mile journey to get there. Bobr
Two speeding tickets arrived this morning. Under the circumstances, as an ambulance was going to take three hours to collect a stroke patient, I shall be challenging them.

Back in the day when this would have been a matter for human beings like yourself, rather than cameras/computers, I doubt you'd have got them in the first place. I fear though, that unless you can dispute the speed, the offence has been committed and your argument could only be used as mitigation in court. Good luck! I'm going to write to the issuing authority to see if I can get the tickets cancelled. There must be someone there with some common sense. A retired police driver doing, what is in effect, an ambulance run.

Hopefully though, someone will see sense
Bobr
I've written the letters (same letter for each ticket) and they've been posted so I'll just wait and see. The exact circumstances have been explained. If they don't accept that then I'll explain it to the magistrates.

Bobr
Other good news: Paula went for her driving assessment yesterday and passed. She has made a really remarkable recovery from the stroke and I'm sure it was due to the speed she arrived at hospital after the stroke.
