Out of interest do you have full Ford service history including the dates and mileage the car was serviced by a Ford dealer ?
ecoboost let down
Thanks for your comment. The engine still runs fine and drives if I move it. Yes full service history since new. Just missed 1 year 2022 due to covid.

ecoboost let down
No - just wouldn't stop as mentioned. Starts and drives. Obliviously I'm not driving it around. Booked in to main Ford dealers to investigate. Just wanted to know where I stand. Heard that Ford warranty was for 10 years / 100'000 miles

Other car manufacturers that build better cars offer longer warranties: Kia - 7 year/100,000 miles SsangYong - 5 year/unlimited mileage Hyundai - 5 year/ unlimited mileage MG - 7year/ 80,000 miles Ford would probably go bust if they offered a longer warranty LOL 1

That's not how full service history works. With a missed service, Ford are unlikely to even offer a goodwill gesture in this case. It sounds like you'll probably need a new vacuum pump. And that was probably damaged by reduced oil flow from a blocked oil pump. My advise would be to avoid Ford, as they won't repair it under warranty, and you'll be stuck having to pay Ford prices for the repair. You can check whether the wetbelt is deteriorating quite easily by looking at the colour of the oil on the dipstick. If it's dark black, that's usually an indicator that it's full of bits of wetbelt.
