I’ve just bought a Ford Fiesta 2009 model and I can’t get any insurance cheaper than 20 grand any advice to get it down?

    What was your previous car and how much was the insurance on that?

    Not a lot to go on there, and so many variables to insurance.

    How many companies have you tried? Comparison sites etc?

    Type of cover? Comprehensive TPFT, etc?

    Annual mileage?

    Type of use: just social or commuting, etc?

    New driver?

    Convictions?

    Claims?

    "Bad" postcode?

    Telematics policy can help in some cases, but really more info needed.

    £20k does sound ridiculous, though.

    So many factors can affect it.

    I've tried to move recently and discovered postcode areas can differ by thousands because of their reputation. -

    Have you tried to get too many quotes?

    How old are you?

    Is it a black box policy (just out of interest, do not get one it will not be worth it.)

    How much named driver experience do you have?

    Have you got any other named drivers on your policy?
