2.2 tdci Diesel engine fuel pump replacement what’s needed

Featured Replies

2013 2.2 tdci diesel Ford ranger/ transit engine. I am thinking of changing pump as it goes into limp mode on hills with load, so turn off ignition and back on, then goes ok with less throttle. Just asking if the pump can be changed without special tools ?

just taking off the round cover plate, not sure about timing chain taking up the slack and being able to pull sprocket back onto the pump
