Have a 1990 Ford Ranger XLT extended cap with a terrific body and fender.  Has 200,000 or 300,000 miles. Drivetrain is trashed. Is a 4x4. 2.9 V6.  Want to put in a modern 2.3 litre I4 with Turbo.  Prefer to keep manual transmission system.  Know that wiring and computer have to be changed.  So the question is about the front and rear axle, transfer case...  Insights please!
