Driving in 4wd

Featured Replies

Hi I’m just about to purchase a 2017 wildtrak but I’m a bit confused about the 4wd.  So can I drive around all the time in 4wd[H] or is it strictly off road only

Handbook says it's meant for off-road use only.

Four-Wheel Drive Limitations

Do not use four-wheel drive high (4H) or four-wheel drive low (4L) mode on dry, hard surfaced roads. Doing so can produce excessive noise, increase tire wear and damage drive components.

AWD and 4WD are by nature two different things, designed with different applications in mind.
