Remote start problem

Hi all, I'm new to the ford ranger ownership picked up a 2020 wildtrak the other day auto 2L bi turbo auto. Anyway I'm getting wound up by the ford connect app I added vehicle but on the app all I have is lock and unlock I thought ok a bit pointless if that's all I have but then reading online states I should have the option to start but there just is no button on the app there. So online it says simple go into settings,vehicale and remote start on but again on the screen in the truck there is just no mention of remote start. So I'm just a bit confused I'm either missing something something simple or I'm going mad. Anyway any help or advice appreciated. Cheers

    Is your car Manual or Automatic ?

    Remote start is not available on manual gearboxes.

    The OP could try the FordPass Pro app, which I personally find to work better and gives a little bit more info than the basic app.

    There has been a lot of changes recently to the Ford Pass App and some functionality has been removed for anyone who has updated their App recently, Remote Start may be one of the things that was removed.

    I've had a similar issue with my remote start, and it turned out to be related to the battery in the key fob. After replacing it, the problem was resolved. Have you tried that yet? If the issue persists, it might be worth checking the wiring or considering a reprogram of the remote start system. Some users have also found that interference from other electronic devices can cause similar problems.
