can anyone tell me, The green arrow which appears when to change gear, is this on specific models only ? or functional on all models. It works on my daughters Zetec, but does not appear to work on my Edge edition. Thanks for any info

My Titanium (built March 2009) does not have this - although you can see the outline of the arrow in the instrument cluster, it isn't wired up; I always assumed that it was just for the Econetic?

I think it's a feature which Ford seem to have rolled out across the range fairly recently.

I was asking about this gear shift light mines a feb 2010 build zetec s and doesnt have it hmmmm

Trust me, you don't want it!

Entering a bend? Flash! Change gear

Going up a steep hill? Flash! Change gear

Going down a very steep hill? Flash! Change gear

To be perfectly honest, it's irritating and pointless, though amusing some of the places it tells you change wink.gif

I think it's only based on the rpm of the engine as it seems oblivious of what the car is doing at the time.

I love things with flashy lights and gizmos but this is one I could happily live without tongue.gif

Yours works better than mine then! On mine foot on accelerator in gears 1-4 = flash no matter what speed or rpm!
