Ford ranger intermittent light fault

Featured Replies

Hi everyone ,I’ve just taken delivery of a low mileage 23 plate ranger, its been fine for a few weeks but now the front lights have started coming on on their own ,it does it with the light switch either in auto or off position ,only noticed it a couple of nights ago when I took the dog out at night and noticed they’d come on ,anyone else had anything similar ?

Are you positive that it is not the DRLs (Daylight Running Lights) that are coming on? Take a pic of your lights so we can see what light is being activated...

I’m not sure I think it’s the side lights ,they’re coming on all night and draining the battery down though and some nights/days they don’t come on at all

Just noticed you have a 2023 car, still under warranty. Take it back to dealer and let them sort it...

That’s what I intend to do but I just wanted to get an idea if it’s happened to anyone else first so I know what to expect

its booked in at the main dealer for this friday so will report back when i know the issue , its now no longer intermittent, when i lock the car and walk away the lights come on roughly ten minutes later every time(switch either off or auto) and its the headlights not the DRLS that come on  , i've looked up the fuse layout which says fuse 20 controls the lights but this didn't work, has anyone got a 2023 model fuse layout and description ?
