Ford Ranger 2020 DPF problem

Featured Replies

I have a ford Ranger 2020, 3.2 and until recently it has run fine, but suddenly came up with a DPF fault. The vehicle seems to go to do a regen but i assume when the exhaust gets to hot it cuts the car out completely, does not go into limp mode just dies.

If you then wait an hour or so it restarts again and the lights on the dash go out as though nothing has happened. It can then last a few days or longer when the same thing happens. A ford garage has taken the DPF off sent it away for cleaning reinstalled it and a week later say thing happens.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

It's no good cleaning the DPF unless the defects causing it to block are also addressed.

Do you know if the fault codes have been read, and, if so, what codes were found?
