The spanner is showing on my Thunder.

It showed powertain malfunction, reduced power on the ford app but shows the above when plugged into the foxwell.....

Why is this?

It should have shown a dash message that says something like 'change oil now'.

How many miles and months has it been since the oil was changed?

I bought it in Oct 2023.  See attached that i found in the app.  It is a 2020 Thunder.

It looks like the Ranger EcoBlue has two yearly oil changes but maximum of 12,500 miles between them.   How many miles are on the truck now?

They do also have an oil quality sensor which is what's showing on that fault code.

I think you will just need an oil change but the oil monitoring system may need to be reset as well.  I don't know if you can reset that manually or whether it can only be done through Ford systems.

I'm guessing itCan be reset manually via the instrument cluster under maintenance ( oil life reset)

Ok.  It shouldn't have reached the service interval on time or distance in that case.

Though as that's fairly low mileage per month since the last service, the oil probably is genuinely deteriorated or contaminated and needs changing.

I doubt the Foxwell will reset the intelligent oil life monitor but hopefully it can be done through the dash as Ian suggests.
