Glow Plugs

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Ive recently had a code up for 4 faulty glow plugs on a 2018 3.2 Wildtrak. I replaced all 5 of them with Hidria glow plugs and everything seemed ok and the codes cleared. I plugged the jeep in again a week later and i now have codes for all 5 open circuit. No resistance on plug tips with multimeter. I checked voltage on plug tip with multimeter when ignition is switched on and i get 11.9v. These are 4.4v plugs. They seem to be burnt out but i dont know why. Some models do send 12v to 5v plugs in short bursts to speed up heating time. Have i just gotten bad plugs?? Any help would be great!!!!
