Diesel leak on Shutdown - only for a couple of minutes...

Featured Replies

Hi all - I'm looking at a 2012 Ranger 2.2 - and it fits our budget and needs well, except that it has a small (appears to only do this for 1-2 mins after shutdown) diesel leak. The previous owner had the injectors refurbed, copper seals re-done and leak-off seals replaced, So i don't think its directly related to the injectors, more likely somewhere between the pump and the injectors... Totally new to these vehicles, so I don't know what its likely to be, so are there any common areas to look for? The pumps themselves? The line from the Injectors to the pump? I can't physically see a leak.

Any ideas gratefully recieved! Thanks in advance!

Matt
