Hi Can anyone advise if they know of a garage /Ford dealership in the East Midlands that has the diagnostic software for a 2005 Ranger Pickup.? Ignition / Glowplug amber light flashing which ,I am told is an engine fault  warning indicator .( No mention of this in the owners handbook!) .Several independent  garages and Sandicliffe Leicester main  Ford dealer say they do not have the soft ware anymore to diagnose what the fault might be on this 20 year old Ranger owned from new ,good condition ,with only 38 k on the clock and running perfectly .Any leads /ideas ,would be much appreciated. Cheers .

My first thought would be to try and use FORScan and see what information it can find.

All you need is a Windows laptop and a vLinker FS cable, the software is free unless you want to do programming.

When was the diesel fuel filter last changed ?

I have no idea when the diesel filter was last changed .If ever .As I said this vehicle has only done 38k in 20 years However I agree it should be changed after that length of time 

Probably never been changed given mileage( 38k .) Somwill check that out .
