low fuel preasure

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a 2022 ranger  wildtrac 2.0 biturbo with a wet belt that had gone , I decided that I didn't want the hassle of stripping it down to find I had bent valves and the cam chest would need replacing  so I decided to do an engine swap which I wish I hadn't , all was going well until I went to replace the vacuum pump on the replacement engine only to find that part of the casing had broken of and was floating around in the engine!!

so that head I didn't want to take off now had to come off the replacement engine , I eventually found the missing piece in the oil gallery.

I have now got the engine back together and the body back on , now when I try starting it just turns over , I have scanned it and have a fault code poo87-00 fuel rail/system preasure to low!!

I have replaced the fuel pressure sensor, and fuel filter , I have also replaced the high pressure pump that was having a leak ( timing set correctly)but still it cranks and won't start.

any suggestions would be much appreciated

Thanks

Unlucky. We usually recommend that people get them replaced at 80,000miles
