I’m trying to find a genuine Ford f12 map sd card for my sync 2. Anyone used one or found one?

The Ford Motor Company no longer supports Sync2 so this option is the best you will get. As they say "when they've gone, they have gone"

Cheers mate. I phoned Ford but they seemed baffled. I asked them about changing my sync 2 hardware to sync 3 and they seemed baffled by that as well. Il give the place you showed me a go👍🏻

That is not something that any Ford authorised dealer would do. The terms of their Ford franchise prohibits such upgrades.

F12? Just had a look at my map sd card and it's f5 🤣 mine is bit outdated 

For the sync 3 I was going to purchase the whole kit (very expensive) and pay someone to install it. Think that would be the op best option

I am not interested on sync 2 maps, I just use my iPhone maps. I am however interested in sync 3 but will have to sell a kidney for that.

Yep. It is an expensive option. I think il just get the sd card for now🤣. Shame just couldn’t get CarPlay on sync 2

Car play is on sync 2,ive connected it to my iPhone before.

The thing is, you will always be playing catch-up. You get Sync3 and then you will want Sync3.4, and then you will want Sync4 and so it goes on. There comes a point when you are better to accept what you have, and save your money to buy a newer model that has what you want.

I have already thought of that 😊

The problem with sync 2 is that the touchscreen is so bad, you have to literally punch it to make any input but on sync 3(my friends got one) the touchscreen is just like a mobile phone, very responsive. 

Also on sync 3 you can mirror your iPhone menu onto it and that sounds cool.

Carplay is already on sync 2, you just need to enable it on your iPhone then keep hold of the mouth talking thingy on your steering wheel. That is if I remembered it right.

Retrofit? But it's already in sync 2. Sorry I'm confused now 

😂 apparently you need a module that plugs into the back of sync 2 and that enables it. Maybe your car had one fitted before you bought it?
