Ranger 2017 2.2 rev hold issue

Featured Replies

Evening folks. I’m in need to of some emotional support with this one 🫣

story so far-  I have a 2017 2.2 which has been spot on until recently where it’s holds its rev higher than it should. It’s like the anti stall is being held on to long.

in the beginning it would only really do it when put it in reverse to park up now it’s nearly a every time I use the clutch.

It can hold its rev anywhere between 1200 and 2000 rpm but simple knock to the throttle pedal resets it to normal 🤷🏻‍♂️

Things I tried-

throttle position sensor , throttle body, sensor at the throttle body, clutch position sensor.

any help will be appreciated

many thanks Fraser
